Why choosing a theme can improve your street photography game
When it comes to street photography, embracing a thematic approach can truly elevate your photographic journey, making the experience and results even more exciting and rewarding!
Instead of just roaming around with your camera, hoping to snap that perfect shot, try picking a theme. Your photos will transform from a bunch of random street pics into a cool, cohesive story or documentary. Every photo will add to a bigger picture, giving context and insight into the theme you're exploring.
This change can make your work more interesting and connect with viewers on a deeper level, encouraging them to get involved with the subject and think about the shared human experiences shown in your images.

Using this approach, I created a series focused entirely on rain. I drew significant inspiration from Martin Parr's renowned "Bad Weather" series. My aim was to capture the quirky behaviors and reactions of people when the heavens open.
Talking about the weather is pretty much the British way of breaking the ice. It's the default topic for small talk. Living in London, I wanted to document how folks react to a "bit of weather." After all, it's a big part of who we are and a constant backdrop in UK life.
