Nighttime is a great opportunity to set the mood with portrait photography, especially in the city. When the sun goes down and the city gets dark, everything changes. The bright colours of the day turn into a softer palette that can bring out all sorts of emotions.
Cityscapes at night can really tell a story with their visuals. The light from street lamps, neon signs, and glowing windows adds a magical vibe to the scene, letting photographers capture bold contrasts and intricate details that might be missed during the day.

Here are some examples I made years ago with my friend Isabella. We headed into the city with our cameras, both excited to capture the vibe of urban life at night.
Isabella and I also checked out some of London's quieter spots in the city center. We found the charm of Blackfriars Bridge and the surrounding Thameside area, which were perfect for portraits.
Through our nighttime photography adventures, we learned to appreciate the different moods the city takes on after dark. It wasn't just about taking pictures; it was also about the shared moments of exploring and the stories we could tell through our lenses.
